Westland Kaas B.V., established in Huizen, the Netherlands, was founded in 1936 by the Westland family. The family own 100% of the company’s shares. Westland Kaas outsources its cheese production to a number of carefully selected Dutch dairy cooperatives. Westland is the proud owner of the brands Maaslander, Old Amsterdam, Trenta and Westlite, which have built up a strong position in both the domestic and international markets.  With a total production volume of over 10,000 tonnes of cheese a year under the above 4 brands and our cheese being sold all over the world, this is one ambitious family-run business.

Westland recently spread its wings into the vegan segment too, through its WildWestLand brand. For many years now, Westland has been inspired by - and has responded to - the demand for a healthy, innovative and amazingly good product.

To fulfill the growth ambitions we have for our Sales Out of Home department, we are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring Account Manager!

The function

Within this versatile position you are responsible for strengthening and expanding the position of our brands Maaslander, Old Amsterdam within the Out of Home channel throughout the Netherlands. You are responsible for a package of existing Out of Home customers, but the focus is on expanding our position within the Out of Home channel. You do this on the one hand by recruiting new customers, and on the other hand by increasing the position of our brands with existing customers. You are on the road a lot, you build a solid network and enthuse existing and potential customers. You identify opportunities and fill them in close cooperation with internal departments. You know what is going on, you are aware of the customer's needs and you respond to them.

Mainline tasks

  • Identifying opportunities with existing Out of Home customers and acquiring new customers;
  • Visiting Out of Home customers;
  • Maintaining and building intensive customer relationships;
  • Organizing and visiting Out of Home related exhibition participation;
  • Independently preparing, conducting and handling account conversations;
  • Drawing up and implementing account plans (assortment, concepts, promotion and price structure);
  • Prepare and monitor account and related marketing expenses.

Your profile

  • Commercial training; HBO working and thinking level;
  • At least 3 years of experience in Out of Home, preferably at an A-brand manufacturer;
  • Creative and solution-oriented;
  • Organizational and planning technically strong;
  • Good knowledge of and experience with Excel, Word and sales software (CRM, Cognos);
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, solid commercial drive and strongly result-oriented;
  • Can do mentality and perseverance;
  • Be able to work proactively and in a team;
  • Analytically and numerically strong;
  • Preferably living in the central region of the Netherlands.
