Westland Kaas B.V., established in Huizen, the Netherlands, was founded in 1936 by the Westland family. The family own 100% of the company’s shares. Westland Kaas outsources its cheese production to a number of carefully selected Dutch dairy cooperatives. Westland is the proud owner of the brands Maaslander, Old Amsterdam, Trenta and Westlite, which have built up a strong position in both the domestic and international markets.  With a total production volume of over 10,000 tonnes of cheese a year under the above 4 brands and our cheese being sold all over the world, this is one ambitious family-run business.

Westland recently spread its wings into the vegan segment too, through its WildWestLand brand. For many years now, Westland has been inspired by - and has responded to - the demand for a healthy, innovative and amazingly good product.


As a commercial Customer Service employee you are responsible for maintaining contacts with customers at home and abroad, order processing and various sales support activities. You work together with colleagues who are each responsible for their own country cluster. Ultimately, you are the one who must ensure that we can deliver the orders of our customers (particularly large supermarkets) on time and accurately. You are the last link between our internal supply chain department and our customers!

Most important tasks

  • Acting as a point of contact for external relations, sales managers and key account manager
  • Reception, entry and follow-up of customer orders in our ERP system (orders bij EDI and email)
  • Maintaining contact with customers and internal departments such as logistics and sales about orders
  • Minimizing shortcomings through active communication with the logistics department and coordinating communication about this with the customer
  • Coordinating large action orders with our transport partners
  • Coordinating return orders and performing various administrative activities such as processing complaints
  • Coordinating sample requests with marketing and sales and our external partners
  • Validating invoices from our transport partners
  • Keeping our stocks accurate (synchronization of Westland stock and stock at our warehouse partners)
  • Actively thinking along when (unexpected) supply chain issues arise. No day is the same!


We are looking for someone who has the following qualities:

  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level
  • Some years of relevant experience in a similar position is an advantage but not required if you have the right approach mentality!
  • Knowledge of and experience with Excel and ERP systems (e.g. SAP or M3)
  • Good oral an written knowledge of English, French (pre) and German (pre)
  • Results-oriented
  • A ‘can do’ mentality
  • Commercial institution
  • Accurate
  • Team player, nice colleague


  • Flexible schedule for 20-24 hours, preferably 4 x 5 hours in the morning, but a different schedule is also negotiable
