Position

For our Marketing department, we are looking for a Senior Brand Manager. A prominent marketing role combining business sense with the right strategy for brand, communication and innovation. You are the spider in the web in leading and driving multidisciplinary teams. A combination of both long-term brand development and short-term activation for strategic focus in the Netherlands. An independent contribution is expected in terms of brand strategy and positioning of Old Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

Objective of the position

Responsible for all short and long-term marketing activities of the Old Amsterdam brand in the Netherlands.

Successful when: Old Amsterdam in the Netherlands grows in line with the 2021 - 2023 strategy

Reports to:                            Marketing Lead Westland

Manages:                             Junior Brand Manager Old Amsterdam NL

Works together with: Sales team Nederland, Old Amsterdam Marketeers, Creative Agencies, Media Agency, market research firms, R&D, Quality, Purchasing, Trade Marketing and Finance

Result areas and activities

• Business Team
  • Leads the (multidisciplinary) Netherlands Business Team, jointly responsible (together with Sales, Trade Marketing and Finance) for the results, volume, turnover and development of the OA brand in the Netherlands
• Portfolio & Pricing strategy
  • Optimising the portfolio
  • Identifying opportunities and threats, and knowing how to translate this into concrete portfolio and pricing strategy for OA in the Netherlands.
  • Carrying out the appropriate analysis and facilitating the decision-making for this purpose
• Innovation/ product development
  • Responsible for rolling innovation pipeline
  • Identifying consumer/retail/market opportunities and translating these into new products/innovations
  • As project leader, responsible for realising innovation initiatives/new products
• Brand (strategy) and positioning
  • Executing and enriching Old Amsterdam's brand strategy and brand positioning in the Netherlands in line with global OA strategy/framework
  • Implementing this by translating it into annual plans and monitoring implementation
• Visual identity Old Amsterdam Netherlands
  • Monitoring visual identity OA Netherlands within the global OA strategy/framework
  • Design development
  • Implementing design projects
• Communication
  • Ultimately responsible for all communication and the right media mix for OA in the Netherlands, including shopfloor
  • Choosing the right channels and platforms
• Ultimately responsible for establishing and managing OA Netherlands’ Marketing Budget
• Data analysis and Brand tracking

Qualifications and skills

• 6-10 years of marketing experience in FMCG, Business to Consumer
• University level professional and intellectual ability
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and leadership
• Experience in innovation/product development, communication & activation including shopfloor
• Other characteristics: leader with the drive to want to make a difference, hands-on mentality, independent and energetic approach, ownership, disciplined. Interpersonal and reflective skills.
• Key competences: communications, creativity, conceptual, business sense, analytical, commercially aware and executive power
