Maaslander stands for the softest, creamiest cheese. The fact that it is also the best-tasting cheese has been acknowledged and recognised by those with a nose for real quality. That is absolutely the case for Maaslander 50+ Young Matured: a delicious Young Matured cheese, very creamy with a mild flavour, which received 3 stars. Maaslander is very proud that this cheese won the 3-star Superior Taste Award at the International Taste Institute. It is an exceptional acknowledgment of the high quality standards to which Maaslander aspires.
At the International Taste Institute in Brussels, every year a jury of more than 200 chefs and sommeliers judge thousands of products from all over the world. The products are tasted blind, based purely on flavour, scent and texture. Maaslander 50+ came out a winner, and received a whopping three stars. This honourable award shows that Maaslander 50+ Young Matured is seen as a delicious, creamy cheese. On top of the Maaslander 50+ Young Matured, two other Maaslander cheeses also won awards: Maaslander 50+ Young and Maaslander 50+ Matured - both cheeses received two stars, which indicates excellent quality.
